International Economic Conference at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences

How can regional companies benefit from the establishment of the semiconductor industry in Saxony — and what role will Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) play in this development?

To discuss these questions, representatives from business, politics, public administration, and research institutions gathered at HSZG on April 9th. Under the patronage of the District Administrator of Görlitz County, Dr. Stephan Meyer, the International Economic Conference took place. In addition to participants from neighboring countries Poland and the Czech Republic, distinguished guests from Japan and Taiwan were welcomed.A highlight was the presentation by Dr. Christian Koitzsch on the upcoming establishment of ESMC in Dresden — a joint venture between TSMC, Bosch, Infineon, and NXP.

During a parallel exhibition, various projects from HSZG were showcased — including the RUBIN project EdgeVision, which is developing and implementing an edge AI platform.
